I have owned this album for 50+ years. It predates Steeleye Span & is still great to this day, as is the work they did with Steeleye Span.

Bought this album after Parcel of Rogues. Their best. Still have it.

This is really old. From Scotland and brought over with the folks who had to leave after Cullodin. Many of us city singers learned the first one as "Geordie", but same song.

Wow! I had almost forgotten about this one. It's been probably ~36 or a bit more years since I last heard this. On my own record, bought as a teenager in the early 80s from...probably a yard sale or something. My album had the same picture as the splash image of this video. Thank you for uploading it.

My parents had this album in the early 70's and I had memorized this routine by 9 years old.. I think I performed it for my Sister a time or two. I didn't know what a CO2 cartridge was tho.

Masterpiece

Amazed that they still let you sing songs, let tell such a story, did you almost have to listen to it two or three times before you can figure out what's about. And that's really the way it oughta be.

My Pops is a PP&M fan from way back and weaned us on their music. I have always dug the random spoken-word inserts in this song.

They a big part of my Youth growing up in Winnipeg I went to see them at the U of M's Weekly Coffee House called Stillmore as well as other Events held there and throughout the City; The Birds Hill Folk Festival Yearly. Rain or Shine, there was lots of Rain but it never dampened the Spirit nor stopped the Evening Shows, or the numerous Work Shops Daily. Last I heard, a few Years ago Cathy did an Event with a Friend of mine at Kenosee Lake, sadly I had to work that Weekend so was unable to attend. I always have and still do love their Music. ❤🎶
